Deleting the IOS in flash leaves the config.txt and the vlan database untouched!??? vlan database!??? On a 2600 router !???? This is No Layer 3 Switch! Bit confused here! ALSO... You didn't do ANY memory check on that flash BEFORE inputing a new IOS! Had there been no space in flash, that router could've gone in a loop!!! Or maybe told you it couldn't continue! Had there been another IOS there, wouldn't you have had to delete it for lack of space... AND THEN given the age of this machine, have had to do a SQUEEZE command BEFORE inputing a new IOS into the flash!???? ALSO... Had there been enough space in flash... Wouldn't you have had to input a BOOT SYSTEM COMMAND... So as to choose WHICH of the IOS should boot the router !??? WHY are all these things...NOT...In the tutorial!? ;-)
